Rodwell may be utilized in attacking role

According to the Liverpool Echo, Everton manager David Moyes might utilize Jack Rodwell in a more attacking role this season.

The 19-year old midfielder has made a habit of scoring from distance for the Toffees since earning regular playing time last year. Originally intended to play center half, the Liverpool native wowed fans early with a pair of distance strikes against Sigma Olomouc in the Europa League at the start of last season. He would go on to score two goals in Premiership play, including a win-clinching tally over Manchester United.

Rodwell, who signed a five-year extension earlier this summer, accounted for a pair of goals (one a screamer from distance) in the recent tour of Australia on the way to leading the Blues to a 3-0 start to the preseason.
