Umm, good morning, I guess. Welcome to The Free Header.
So, I guess this means Spain is the best team in the world, right? They have certainly earned the all-time snooze-fest championship with yet another 1-0 victory, their fourth consecutive in the World Cup. I don’t think you can really say enough about the play of Iker Casillas this tournament, and I’m somewhat happy he walked away with the title.
But I don’t particularly want to focus on the World Cup that much today. It’s over, and quite frankly, my only rooting interest yesterday was for Everton’s John Heitinga and for Robin Van Persie and Wesley Sneijder to get into a fight with each other on the field. The former drew a weak second yellow in extra time, and sadly, the latter never came to fruition.
But, Spain is the best team in the world, no argument here. You know who is two goals better than Spain though? THE UNITED STATES! WOO! U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A!
Just had to get that out. Moving on …
